VisitorPoint: The Tiaki Promise – taking care of New Zealand
The Oath –
New Zealand is precious, and everyone who lives and travels here has a responsibility to look after it. By following the Tiaki Promise, you are making a commitment to New Zealand. To act as a guardian, protecting and preserving our home. Nau mai, haere mai ki Aotearoa. Welcome to New Zealand.
The Responsibility –
New Zealand is breathtakingly beautiful. Tourism is a great medium for us to welcome guests from around the world. With this number increasing every year due to better connectivity and knowledge we must take the right steps to preserve the authenticity of Aotearoa. This can be achieved by education and providing the correct information to the travellers. Make the traveller aware about the fact that this is our home and like them today, many others will come to our shores in the future and we want to welcome them too.
We want to share our piece of paradise with generations to come.
We the people that live here in New Zealand are the true advocates, the protectors and the guardians of this land of the big white cloud.
We make this promise and pledge our commitment to Aotearoa.
VisitorPoint making the promise –
VisitorPoint are the largest distributor of travel information throughout New Zealand and as a business we are proud to support the Tiaki promise. We help tourism businesses large or small with making sustainable and cost-effective decisions to get tourists to their doorsteps.
We recommend our clients to use sustainable printing methods and use vegetable-based inks, recycled FSC paper, recycle all unused stock and provide reporting back to our customers so they can make informed data driven decisions on print quantities.
We are a living wage employer, offset our carbon emissions every time our staff take to the skies with Air New Zealand and all our staff have been supplied with Keep Cups to keep that morning coffee warm and on the go.
Every little step is one step closer to where we aspire to be.
