Full Day Tour- Rob Roy Track currently closed due to Bridge repairs so we are offering our Wanaka Glacier Adventure to see a view of the Rob Roy Glacier from the main Matukituki Valley (see website for full details and tour outline)

3) Alpine Lakes Heli Hike

Fly 1400m above worry level to 3 pristine lakes high in the World Heritage area adjoining Mt Aspiring National Park. 

 

Product Description

1) Lake Cruise & Island Nature Walk

A one hour return guided bush walk takes you to the Island’s secret, the lake, on the island, on the lake, on an island, in the Sea! Our experienced guides will share their knowledge of local features as well as the beautiful native plant and birdlife including the rare native Buff Weka (extinct on the mainland).  A photographer’s dream! Plant a native tree on Mou Waho Island as part of this eco-experience!

2) Rob Roy Glacier Guided Walk

Swing bridge, glacier views, ice falls, mountain rainforest, alpine flowers,  waterfalls – Rob Roy has it all! The jewel of Mt Aspiring National Park, this is a graded Moderate and a maximum 5 hour fully guided walk with our local guides revealing this valley’s secret places for that perfect shot.

3) Alpine Lakes Heli Hike

This tour can be made as easy or as challenging as you wish, so you can enjoy exploring this remote location at your pace, on our walk which takes us by these crystal clear lakes in the sky. With panoramic views down to the river far below, up to the glaciated peaks surrounding mighty Mt Aspiring (3033m). Then fly to a secret destination for stunning photo opportunities of the Southern Alps.

What To Bring

1) Lake Cruise & Mou Waho Island Nature Walk

Please wear good walking shoes or boots and to bring a water bottle, day backpack and sunhat or rain jacket depending on the weather. Clients also to bring any medications they may require on the tour e.g. Epipen for allergies.

2) Rob Roy Glacier Guided Walk

Please wear sturdy walking shoes/boots with a good tread and layers of clothing, (Not cotton as a 1^st layer & Not Jeans), and to bring a waterproof jacket, day back pack and water bottle. We can supply walking poles. Clients also to bring any medications they may require on the tour e.g. Epipen for allergies.

3) Alpine Lakes Heli Hike

Please  wear good walking boots and layers of clothing with long walking pants (not Jeans) and bring a waterproof jacket, day pack and water bottle. We can supply walking poles. Clients also to bring any medications they may require on the tour e.g. Epipen for allergies.
