We are Auckland Zoo. A not-for-profit and wildlife conservation organisation dedicated to building a future for wildlife.
There's lots to see and do all year round, including events, keeper talks and 100's of animals - there is never a dull moment at the Zoo.
Everything we do at Auckland Zoo directly contributes towards our conservation efforts - how we care for the wildlife at the Zoo, our Wild Work and Conservation Fund, our environmental impact, and how we connect people with wildlife conservation science, here at the Zoo.
Auckland Zoo is home to 135 species and over 1,400 animals all homed in expertly designed habitats designed for welfare and natural behaviors.
5 different tracks take you on an intercontinental adventure, explore your very own Aotearoa in the Living Realm - Te Wao Nui. Discover the wonders throughout the Africa Safari Track, Australia Bush Track and the South America Rainforest Track. Our newly opened South East Asia Jungle Track is the latest addition and promises an immersive and exciting experience through the Lowlands, High Canopy and Indonesian Swamp Forest.
