Start your sea kayaking adventure in Auckland with an experienced guide, perfect for beginners eager to explore the city’s coastal beauty.

Your journey begins at the tranquil St Heliers Beach, where your guide will lead you through the serene waters of the Waitemata Harbour, passing by the picturesque Gentleman's and Ladies Bays. The destination is Browns Island (Motukorea), an uninhabited volcanic island accessible only by sea.

The paddle takes 45-60 minutes each way, with a total of 1.5-2 hours of leisurely kayaking, leaving plenty of time to soak in the sights and get comfortable with your gear.As you navigate the waters, your guide will point out abundant marine life, including coastal birds like Dotterel and Oystercatchers, and perhaps even dolphins, whales, or little blue penguins.

Upon reaching Browns Island, your guide will share the island’s rich history and geological significance as you explore its ancient volcanic cone, formed roughly 25,000 years ago. After a thorough exploration, you’ll paddle back to St Heliers, with your guide ensuring a safe and enjoyable return journey.
