As Christchurch’s only international sized ice rink we seek to provide affordable, healthy year-round entertainment to people of all ages and abilities.

Alpine Ice is also home to the Canterbury Red Devils Ice Hockey team who play during the winter months in the NZIHL!

Weekday Sessions during the school term: 

Monday - Friday 10.0am - 2.30pm

Night Sessions during school term:

Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 7.30-9.30pm

Weekend Sessions during school term:

Saturday 10.0am - 12.00noon & 2.00 - 4.00pm

Sunday 9.30 - 10.30am - 12.00noon & 2.00 - 4.00pm

School Holiday Session times:

Monday - Sunday 10.00am - 12.00noon & 2.00 - 4.00pm

Beginners Sessions Saturday's during January 12.30 - 1.30pm (lesson)

School Holiday Night Sessions:

 7.30 - 9.30pm

What To Bring

 

• Warm Clothing
• Gloves
• Bike Helmet
• A decent pair of socks that come up and over the ankle

We strongly recommend that you wear a helmet while you skate and have helmets you can borrow while you skate at no extra cost

All our Weekend and Evening Sessions run with disco lights, music and games. We endeavour to entertain you while you skate as well as providing a safe and fun experience for all ages. All public sessions have an on ice assistant on hand and on the ice to help with any skating tips you may find you or someone in your group needs. 

We encourage the use of masks around the rink but this does not need to be worn on the ice. 

We are a licensed Cafe and Bar. Our warm cafe is always open and has a great selection of hot food and beverages as well as alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The cafe is also great for those who are not getting on the ice and who wish to watch from afar!

We make fresh candyfloss on site which goes down a treat with the kids.
