Product Description

Just a short drive from Auckland, gather at the end of Takatu Road in Tawharanui Regional Park. Here, you'll meet your group and receive a briefing on the evening's itinerary, safety protocols, and the park's rich ecosystem.

As dusk falls, embark on a thrilling kiwi-spotting adventure, guided through the park's native bush. Keep your senses sharp as you search for signs of kiwi activity, while your guide shares fascinating insights about these iconic birds.

Next, venture to a secluded stargazing spot, far from city lights, where minimal light pollution allows the night sky to shine in all its glory. Equipped with telescopes and binoculars, you'll witness a breathtaking display of stars, planets, and celestial wonders, complemented by stories of astronomy and indigenous lore.

As the evening progresses, experience the enchanting sight of bioluminescent plankton lighting up the shoreline with their natural blue-green glow. During certain seasons, watch these tiny organisms create a mesmerizing spectacle as they react to movement, turning the waves into a shimmering dance of light.
