Enjoy a break away in our spacious and comfortable two bedroom family cabin. A home away from home, this unit has everything you need to have a relaxing holiday. It is completely self-contained, including a washing machine and heat pump. You need look no further for affordable, family-friendly, beachside Mangawhai accommodation.

The nicely appointed main bedroom has a comfy queen bed, wardrobe, luggage storage and TV. The cosy second bedroom has a double and a single bed, wardrobe and luggage storage. All linen is included with the beds made but not serviced. Bathroom towels are provided, please bring your own beach towels. Shared clothesline on the end of the unit.

The unit also includes outdoor seating and a great lawn area for children's activities and parking. Note that there are no water views from this particular cabin.

Family Holiday Units, with fresh decor and a relaxed feel. Each unit offers a queen bed in the main bedroom, and a set of three children's bunks in a separate area. All linen is included with the beds already made but not serviced. Bathroom towels are provided for use in the unit. Please supply own beach towels.

Enjoy the comforts of a compact kitchen with everything you need, including cooktop, microwave, fridge and cooking accessories. You can also enjoy Freeview TV, or relax on the deck with views across the carpark to the estuary.

Our economy cabins are best fit for couples looking for affordable Mangawhai accommodation. You can enjoy estuary views right from the comfy queen bed! The standard 10m² cabin also includes a kitchenette. The bed is fully made and bath towels are included, but is not serviced. Toilets, showers and a full kitchen are located in the amenities block within the park. Our showers cost $1 for 7 minutes of hot water.

Our powered campsites are the perfect spot to stop, relax and unwind. The South Side of the park is close to the boat ramp and the Jetty. This side of the park gets a bit more sun in the afternoons than the North Side.

Things To Do In Mangawhai

The Great Outdoors

• To burn off a bit of energy and enjoy some amazing scenery, why not try one of the many beautiful walks this region has to offer. The famous Mangawhai Cliffs Walk starts at the surf beach up some steps and along the cliff and return along the beach if the tide is right. Fantastic views – allow 3 hours return.
• The subtropical climate of the Mangawhai area provides a lush environment for wine and food growers in the hinterland. You can enjoy live entertainment at the local bars and afternoon summer concerts at the vineyards and orchards.
• If golf's your game, visit the 18 hole links style Mangawhai Golf Club at Mangawhai Heads.  With large greens, open fairways & full clubhouse facilities. You don’t need your own clubs as they have a full range of hire equipment including carts and fully equipped Pro shop. Meals are available on set nights.

Water Water Everywhere

Whatever your passion, Mangawhai is a water lover's paradise:

• You can enjoy swimming, surfing or boogie boarding at Mangawahi Heads Surf Beach
• If you prefer kayaking, water skiing or wind surfing, head over to the sheltered Harbour.
• The beautiful coastline and nearby Hen & Chicken Islands are an ongoing attraction for fishing and diving enthusiasts. Fishing, diving or sight seeing can be arranged from full or half day charters with our local charter boat operators.

Mangawhai Village

A 6 km drive away is Mangawhai Village hub, with a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants:

• A lively market every Saturday morning is held at the Mangawhai Tavern, Mangawhai Village, with a wide range of foods, products and crafts.
• Don't miss the sensational Bennetts of Mangawhai chocolate shop and cafe. Peruse the mouthwatering selection of artisan fare made on site. You can even view the chocolatiers in action, concocting delectable delights to tempt your taste buds. If you're after something a little less sweet, stop by for a delicious lunch at their Mediterranean style cafe.
• Around the corner is the fabulous Dune Cafe.  It's 'the spot' for locals and and holiday makers to enjoy a relaxing brunch, lunch and dinner.
• Next door you will find Fresh, which offers a range of quality fruit and vegetables along with other delectable pantry fare and fridges stocked with yummy pies, bake at home breads, yoghurts etc. try their scrummy ice cream or get a coffee to go.
• Here's one for the girls! Pop next door to Meant to Be. You will be sure to find the perfect item for yourself or as a gift.
• Across the road, you'll find the Frog & Kiwi restaurant, home of delicious French/Kiwi inspired dining.
