Product Description

Original Canopy Tour - 

Our Original Canopy Tour is a 3-hour guided ziplining tour through our amazing virgin native forest. This tour includes 6 ziplines, the longest being 220m, 2 swing bridges and a conservation walk where you will learn what we have done to help the forest. We first opened up in 2012 with the Original Canopy Tour and has wowed over 150,000 people. The minimum age limit for this tour is 6 years old and oldest we have had so far has been 93, but we are trying to beat that. Our maximum weight limit is 120kg for our flyers. This amazing tour will get you flying through the canopy and getting nice and close to the native wildlife where you might even be able to feed a Toutouwai (Robin) or a Miromiro (Tomtit) right out of your hand! The Original Canopy Tour is perfect for families, school groups, first time flyers, people who have a hint of anxiousness or fear of heights and those who are worried about their fitness level. 

 

Ultimate Canopy Tour-

Our Ultimate Canopy Tour is a 3.5 hour guided ziplining tour through our spectacular virgin native forest. This thrill-seeking tour includes 6 ziplines, the longest being a 400m tandem zipline, 3 swing bridges, a 50m cliff walk, 18m controlled descent, spiral staircase and a conservation walk learning about what we have done to help save this amazing forest. We first opened this tour in 2018 and is already sitting at #11 for Adventure Experience in the World! Our minimum age limit for the Ultimate Canopy Tour is 10 years old and our oldest so far has been 92 but there is no maximum age limit just a maximum weight limit of 120kg. The Ultimate Canopy Tour will get you up high enough that you will be flying above the canopy for you to see more of the beautiful forest that is our backyard! This tour makes you travel back in time and experience what forests looked and felt like before humans and pests came along. Our Ultimate Canopy Tour is perfect for those who have already experienced our Original Canopy Tour, who have ziplined elsewhere, who are up for a challenge and are thrill-seekers or adrenaline junkies.

Rotorua Canopy Tours first opened in 2012 with our award winning Original Canopy Tour. Located out in the virgin forest of the Mamaku Plateau we have restored 280 ha of the forest by having a 35km trapping network that has killed tens of thousands of pests, including possums and rats. We want to restore the forest back to the way it was pre humans and bring back the bird life there once was. In 2018 we opened up our Ultimate Canopy Tour which is now sitting at #11 for Adventure Experience in the World after only being open for 4 years.
