Being situated within view of the surrounding Southern Alps and on the doorstep of the World Heritage Mount Aspiring and Fiordland National Parks means Wanaka Helicopters can offer scenic flights that encompass more epic land and seascapes and spectacular vistas than anywhere else in New Zealand.
Our team operates in and around our mountains on a daily basis in our fleet of Robinson R22, Guimbal Cabri, Robinson R44 and Airbus AS350 Squirrel helicopters, all of which are used for flight training, scenic and commercial work.
We are based at Wanaka Airport, which is situated on State Highway 6 between Wanaka and Queenstown. Our highly experienced pilots and staff are warm, friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about flying and our environment.
